A photo-journal of the Night Sky.

Here you will find my attempts at capturing the awesome beauty of the night. The Night sky is filled with the light of a trillion stars. Hidden among these celestial gems are vast clouds of dust and gas. These are the cradles of new born stars or the ghosts of stars long since darkened. Together they form the immense and wondrous Galaxies. starry Islands glowing in the vast dark void of space.

This light we perceive from our vantage point on earth has traveled thousands and in many cases millions of years before reaching us.
Ponder for a moment the mind numbing fact that these photons of light started their journey long before our planet existed. They have traveled through space and time to reach your eye. Striking the retina - initiating a complex chemical reaction - converting light to an electrical signal from which your brain creates an image.
